Grecia.- El próximo 29 de junio 2025 WJF Grecia dedicara un evento a la memoria de quien en vida respondía al nombre de Iván Zavetchanos como pilar importante del desarrollo del judo mundial desde la organización estructural de la disciplina en 1951 hasta nuestros días.
Iván falleció el pasado junio en Australia donde fue un puntual significativo en el desarrollo de la disciplina de Jigoro Kano en este país y en el desarrollo de la World Judo Federation (WJF).
La información fue servida por Ageris Maistrellis en su condición de presidente de la WJF Grecia quien espera un éxito total de la actividad de reconocimiento a una figura del judo mundial como lo fue Iván Zavetchanos.

Greece.- On June 29, 2025, the WJF Greece will dedicate an event to the memory of Ivan Zavetchanos, who in life was an important pillar of the development of world judo since the structural organization of the discipline in 1951 to the present day.
Ivan passed away last June in Australia, where he played a significant role in the development of Jigoro Kano’s discipline in that country and in the development of the World Judo Federation (WJF).
The information was provided by Ageris Maistrellis in his capacity as President of the WJF Greece, who hopes for a complete success of the event recognizing a world judo figure such as Ivan Zavetchanos.
