WJF en el XV Dia Internacional de Jigoro Kano
Santo Domingo, República Dominicana.- En este 165 aniversario del nacimiento del filántropo japonés, Jigoro Kano (1860-1938), quien fundo la disciplina del Judo en 1882 y con esto dejo un gran legado a la humanidad que perdura hasta nuestros tiempos con más de 200 países realizando las prácticas de la disciplina deportiva en todo el mundo y en los cinco continentes, la World Judo Federation (WJF) con sus Federaciones Nacionales afiliadas realiza diferentes actividades en esta XV Edición del Dia Internacional de Jigoro Kano.
Es precisamente luego de la formación de la World Judo Federation el 26 de agosto 2010 en Rio de Janeiro, Brasil que esa entidad mundial inicia la celebración del Dia Internacional 
de Jigoro Kano y de aquí que hoy día estamos en la XV versión y el 165 aniversario del nacimiento del primer miembro del Comité Olímpico Internacional (COI) oriundo del Imperio del Sol Naciente y el Reino de Crisantemo.
En ese orden las Federaciones Nacionales afiliadas a la World Judo Federation hicieron suya esta importante celebración realizando diferentes actividades en sus respectivos países de todos los continentes.

WJF on the 15th International Jigoro Kano Day
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.- On this 165th anniversary of the birth of the Japanese philanthropist Jigoro Kano (1860-1938), who founded the discipline of Judo in 1882 and thus left a great legacy to humanity that endures to this day, with more than 200 countries practicing this sport around the world and on five continents, the World Judo Federation (WJF) and its affiliated National Federations are carrying out various activities on this 15th edition of the International Jigoro Kano Day.
It was precisely after the formation of the World Judo Federation on August 26, 2010, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, that this global entity began celebrating International Jigoro Kano Day.
Thus, today marks the 15th anniversary of the birth of the first member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) from the Empire of the Rising Sun and the Chrysanthemum Kingdom.
In this context, the National Federations affiliated with the World Judo Federation embraced this important celebration by holding various activities in their respective countries on all continents.
