WADA launches new youth resources for clean sport education
- Saturday, 2 November 2024
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has launched two innovative additions to its Anti-Doping Education and Learning (ADEL) platform, which aims to empower Anti-Doping Organisations (ADOs) to educate young athletes on the importance of fair play and clean sport.
The newly launched resources include:
1. ADEL course for young athletes
2. Downloadable educational resources
The ADEL for Youth Athletes course is designed for young athletes between the ages of 11 and 15 who participate in sport through school or clubs, and introduces them to the basic principles of clean sport. The course is designed to equip young athletes with essential skills to navigate challenging moments in their athletic journey. Each module includes insights from members of WADA’s Athlete Council, who share their personal experiences of competing with integrity and promoting a positive sports environment.
