It’s my pleasure to inform you that the Torch Lighting Ceremony of the 9th International Martial Art Games held successfully in Pyongyang, DPR Korea where the IMGC HQs is located.More than 1 000 participants including  Prof. Ri Yong Son, President of the IMGC & ITF, Mr Kim Myong Gun, Secretary General, IMGC EB members, conveys of Diplomatic Missions in DPR Korea, about 100 foreign Martial Artists who were visiting in Pyongyang and Martial Art fans in Pyongyang city took part in this colorful event.The fire caught from the Torch Tower in Pyongyang  which was first blazed out for the 1st International Martial Art Games in 2004 was handed over to Master Laziz Khasanov, President of IX th IMG organizing Committee and the flame will be kindled in the Opening Ceremony of the IX th IMG in Nov, Tashkent, Uzbekistan.In the IMGC Executive Board Meeting held in the period of the event, the issues of the 9th IMG preparation and new membership of the Ifs as main agenda of the meeting was discussed.
At the torch lighting ceremony, welcoming speeches were made by: IMGC President Professor Ri Yong Song (Austria), Chairman of the Organizing Committee IXth  IMG Laziz Khasanov (Uzbekistan) and member of the IMGC Executive Committee, President of the World Karate Confederation (WKC/FW) Dr. Vyacheslav Timofeev (Russia).

Es un placer para mí informarles que la Ceremonia de Encendido de la Antorcha de los 9º Juegos Internacionales de Artes Marciales se celebró con éxito en Pyongyang, RPD de Corea, donde se encuentra la sede del IMGC. Más de 1.000 participantes, incluido el Prof. Ri Yong Son, Presidente del IMGC y la ITF , Sr. Kim Myong Gun, Secretario General, miembros del EB de IMGC, informa de las Misiones Diplomáticas en la RPD de Corea, alrededor de 100 artistas marciales extranjeros que estaban de visita en Pyongyang y fanáticos de las artes marciales en la ciudad de Pyongyang participaron en este colorido evento. La Torre de la Antorcha en Pyongyang, que fue encendida por primera vez para los primeros Juegos Internacionales de Artes Marciales en 2004, fue entregada al Maestro Laziz Khasanov, Presidente del Comité organizador del IX IMG y la llama se encenderá en la ceremonia de apertura del IX IMG en noviembre. , Tashkent, Uzbekistán.
